The challenge

Safari Guru takes pride in crafting highly personalised travel experiences, offering much more than the typical tour. However, as the business grew, company founder Deon de Villiers noticed that inefficient software was slowing the team down. Entering the details for a single client journey could take up to an hour, many travel products weren’t available on the system, and there was no easy way to share itineraries online.  

“As we got busier, I watched our team spending too much time creating proposals,” Deon explains. “Something had to change. I don’t want my team sitting in front of their computers getting frustrated. I want them to enjoy their work and be able to send well-presented documents to their clients.”  

The solution

Safari Guru now uses Wetu across the entire booking cycle for its African safari clients. “We continuously interact with and update the information on the system, from the beginning of the marketing process through the sales cycle, and even when clients embark on their travels,” Deon notes.
